Key Pad & Card Reader Systems

1. Single/Basic/Common Code

Everyone's access code number or access card is exactly the same. If you need to restrict or delete someone's access, you must change the keypad code and give everyone the new code. In the case of card readers, you must buy all new cards and a new cartridge for the card reader(s) and give them to everyone. In & Out keypads must be programmed individually at the unit.

2. Multiple Code

Everyone has a unique access code or card. If you need to restrict or delete someone's unique access, you can delete only that person's key or card. In & out keypads and card readers must be programmed individually at the unit.

3. Multiple Code with Audit Trail

Everyone has a unique access code or card with the same features as above. In addition, a printer can be added to print out the date, time of day, and user number each time the gate is accessed. The user numbers can then be cross-referenced to a user log to know who came in and when. These systems can be programmed at one central location, either at one of the keypads or card readers or by a controller located in the office or other location.

4. Computer Programmed Systems

Has all features as Multiple Code with Audit Trail, plus additional information on the users is supplied. Audit trail typically indicates who (as opposed to just their user number) accessed the system. Time zones can be set up to restrict access at certain times or days. Programming is done via the owner's IBM-compatible computer.
